I know that some people get annoyed when they see a site promoting a particular browser. The usual reaction being that the designers should not be lazy and should get their content to look good for everyone.
That's all well and good, but the problem is that the most popular browser will not support the styles I am designing. Since my code is standards compliant the root of the problem is not me being lazy. I can't make it look good for Internet Explorer because Internet Explorer doesn't support the stanbdards fully.
To see what I am talking about you would have to look through the different styles with the different browsers. Most of the styles (especially the simple ones) will look the same. But some of them look much better with a standards compliant browser.
So, that's why I suggest Firefox. Yes there are other browsers that will be standards compliant and render the styles correctly. but I like Firefox.
