So why the form and not a "mailto" link? Spambots, web surfing programs used to collect e-mail addresses. They collect e-mail addresses, but they don't fill out forms. Oh, and I have a fairly serious SPAM filter. So the best way for me to insure that a new message gets to me is via the form. Otherwise messages from people I don't already know will likely wind up in the SPAM filter.
